Underwhelmed & Overthought
A hand bound accordion book with a saddle stitch book in the middle. The cover is hard cover, and wrapped in leather. Later editions have an embossed logo on the back cover and an embossed box for the picture on the front. Aimed to encourage interaction with the whimsical style of binding, Underwhelmed and Overthought is a tribute to photographers and the love of our craft.
Seeking Connection
A hand bound 4x5 inch saddle stitch book with a sequence of Intaglio prints inside. Every other page is an archival glassine sheet to keep the ink from transferring to the back of the page in front of it. The relief like qualities of the intaglio prints would make it more of a tactile experience, and the sharp contrast of the prints would help accentuate the forms of the photograph. Seeking Connection is a series of Intaglio prints that lean towards abstract expressionism.
HIFYC
HIFYC is a hand bound saddle stitch book. Made initially as a joke about a professor. Inside is a series of images with an eye spy element to them. The whimsical photographs are sequenced in a way to draw the viewer along and eventually revisit the images upon the reveal of the common element in each photograph.
